Travel to Nice
The closest airport is Nice Côte d’Azur Airport, which is a roughly 30 minute drive from the Domaine du Mont Leuze. The venue is very close to central Nice (15–25 minutes).
There are direct flights to NCE from some major airports (for example, JFK and EWR in New York, and Heathrow in London), though others may require a transfer through Paris or another city.
Travel from the airport
Nice Côte d’Azur Airport (NCE) is approximately 20–30 minutes from central Nice by car. From the airport, the direct Tram Line 2 takes less than 30 minutes to central Nice, or taxis are available for a fixed €32 fare to Nice Centre. Taxi / Rideshare
- Time: About 20–25 minutes depending on traffic
- Taxi: Typically €45–€60 from central Nice (Old Town, Promenade des Anglais, or the Port area)
- Uber/Bolt: Often slightly cheaper at around €25–€40, though prices can fluctuate with demand
Train
A scenic and affordable option:
- From Nice-Ville or Nice-Riquier station, take a TER train toward Monaco/Menton and get off at Villefranche-sur-Mer (≈10 minutes, €3–€5 per person)
- From Villefranche station, it’s an uphill taxi or rideshare to reach Domaine du Mont Leuze (about 10 minutes)
- Total cost: Around €5–€7 per person (plus the short taxi/rideshare at the end)
Car Rental or Driving
If you prefer flexibility, driving is straightforward and offers beautiful views of the coast. The venue is roughly 8 km (5 miles) from central Nice and takes about 20 minutes.
The road up to Mont Leuze is steep and winding, but the panoramic views over the French Riviera are worth it.
Return shuttle option
On the day of the wedding, we will be organizing a shuttle bus from the venue to take guests back to Nice. Details regarding timing will be shared closer to the date.
The shuttle to Nice centre will leave at the end of the party, around 2:30 am.

Day trips & beyond
Gorges du Verdon Highly recommended
Europe’s grand canyon, about two hours inland. Rent a kayak or pedalo on the turquoise Lac de Sainte-Croix and paddle up into the gorge, then drive the rim road for the views. Make a full day of it. Highly recommended.
Èze & the three corniches
Drive the coast roads between Nice and Monaco. Èze is a medieval village perched high above the sea, twenty minutes along the corniche. Go early, before the coaches.
Monaco
Twenty minutes by train from Nice. The Oceanographic Museum, the palace, the harbour, and a coffee at the Café de Paris to watch the cars go by.
Saint-Paul-de-Vence & Fondation Maeght
The prettiest of the hilltop villages, forty minutes away, with one of the best modern-art collections in France just outside its walls. Lunch at La Colombe d’Or if you can get a table.
Antibes & Cap d’Antibes
Old town, the Picasso Museum in the château, the Provençal market, and the coastal path around the cap for a swim.
Menton & the Italian border
Lemon-yellow Menton is the last town before Italy. Carry on to Ventimiglia for the Friday market, or to Sanremo for lunch. The Italian Riviera is closer than you think.
A day on the water
Rent a small boat (no licence needed) from Villefranche or Beaulieu and swim in the coves of Cap Ferrat, or take the ferry from Cannes to the Lérins islands.

The classic seafront walk. Best at sunset, or by rented bike. Climb the castle hill for the view over the whole bay.

The little harbour town just below the domaine, with one of the prettiest bays on the coast.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild and its nine gardens, plus the coastal walking path.
Musée Matisse & Musée Chagall
Up in Cimiez among the olive trees. Nice’s two most beloved painters, a fifteen-minute walk apart.
